Game Report from Captain Sarah Burdett - end of round 1
This year the teams have been re-drawn which is making for a really great mix, the teams seem to be quite well matched and although our team has not had as many wins, we are in high spirits and confident our hard work will pay off really soon! Nice work girls! Watch this space....!

2009 Game Reports By The Mowglies Captain, Jill Boul
We welcome to the team Kat Gordon, Rachel McCarthy, Hailey Murphy and Katherine Spellerberg. We welcome back Kerry Manahi, Jane Jarden Jenny Brown, Kelly Sanders, Jill Boul (C), Sally Dickson (A), Ronnie Lee, (G), Annika Matravers (A) and Warren Jarden our assistant Coach.

Round 2
Game 2: Mowglies vs Flames, lost 2-5
Our hardest game to date. Hailey scoring 3 minutes from the start and Jenny scoring 1 minute from the end of the first period to put us two goals up. Then the flames came back with 3 great goals all scored by Ange for which we were unable to answer, ending the second period 3-2 to the Flames. The third period saw them score another 2 goals ending the game 5-2 to the Flames. Though we played a very good game we were unable to capitalise on the power plays - an area for us to work on in future practices. Player of the day was Kelly for great defensive work and she gets to take home Mowglie the team mascot for the week!
Game 1: Mowglies vs. Bumbles, won 2-1
Welcome back Ronnie our goalie, who had a great game despite not having played for 3 weeks. Game 1 of round 2 was a bit of a nail biter as the pressure was on the whole game. Hailey scored 1 minute from the end of the first period to put us one goal up and give us a bit of respite. 9 minutes into the second period, Storm from the bumbles scored an equaliser and they looked to get another goal as well. Fortunately, Jane Jarden scored from a great pass by Kat Gordon in the second period. It was a battle ‘till the end, especially when Hailey got a penalty for interference and we were one man down. Final score 2-1.
Player of the day was Sally who got to take home the new team mascot (Mowglie) for the first time.
Round 1
Game 1 - Lost the first game to the Bumbles 7- 0.
Ronnie Lee, our goalie was away and Gemma was our fill in goalie. Being the first game of the season the team was getting used to each other and while we put in a great effort the Bumbles were the far stronger team No goal were scored by the team.
Our player of the day Hailey Murphy.
Game 2- Won the second game against the flames 6-3.
With Ronnie still away, Maydora very kindly filled in for him and Graham Scott agreed to be our coach. At the end of the first period we were leading 3-1 all scores by Hailey with Rachel assisting on the first one. At the end of the second period we were leading by 5-2 with goals from Annika and Hailey assisted by Annika. Annika and Hailey changing positions to confused the Flames. The final result was 6-3 with a goal in the last 3mins from Kat Gordon.
Our players of the day were Katherine and Hailey.
Game 3 - Won the third game against the Geckos 5-3.
Ronnie was still away and Sara was our goalie for this week. Katherine was also away and Kerry played her first game of the season. At the end of the first period we were leading 2-0 with two very nice deeking goals from Hailey. At the end of the 2nd we had increased the score to 4-1 with a goal from Hailey assisted by Jill and Kerry assisted by Hailey and Jill. The final score was 5-3 with the final goal coming from Jill. Kerry was our player of the day.
